Well goodbye to 2007 (thankfully) and hello 2008.

For Susie and Sally, despite our physical manifestations being very different, the year 2007 was (in feeling) arduous, a hard slog even, where we on occasion became bogged down in the physical and spiritual mire. In hindsight, much was completed, but this was characterised by a ‘have to’ sense. By this I mean that our attention was based largely in physical challenges that could not be ignored and were almost too mundane and ‘normal’ to explore with any spiritual feeling depth. We both endured situations that were not going to easily move (a house extension for instance, pre-school kids, work, relationships, you know it all I am sure!) so in feeling we had to explore that we had certainly created physical lives that determined we should be confined, limited and seemingly far from free to choose. Within that sense of limitation, all we really wanted to do was by-pass the grind and leap straight in to the magical fulfillment of our spiritual desires, yet the physical kept urging us to plant our focus on the outer. We obviously had some work to do before we could take that leap! 

Before the course, there is no doubt that we would have analysed our physical lives and all the limitations that presented as proof of our failure to create our hearts' desires; or worse that we were completely unsupported by the Universe that was supposed to be all loving. Now though, we just work with the feelings and live them not according to some spiritual doctrine outside of ourselves, but instead via our unique response in the moment. There were times when individually, we responded with allowance and acceptance and within those times came an awareness that we were right where we were meant to be. From this, we began to sense a purpose building within the apparent limitation. Yet, at other times we both felt as if we could discard the lot and get our jollies from ‘normal’ avenues like kids, socialising and ebay!

The one thing that kept us focused and therefore in allowance of experiencing our feelings of frustration, without blame or sabotage, was the sense the new year would bring us a shift in the most compelling physical limitations. A natural consequence we concluded would be that we would be ready spiritually and physically to move with our inner desires, which always revolved around getting the book 'out there.' So we began issuing a monthly newsletter in an attempt at living what our feeling sense was telling us, despite the apparent stagnation. The following was the very first channel issued as part of the newsletters and began as a request that Virgil provide us an energetic overview of the New Year (being 2008). In typical Virgil style it contains so much more and is still one of my favourite exchanges with him. I hope you enjoy it.

Good evening Virgil....so lovely to speak to you again

I am able to anticipate your questions and understand the need for generality in terms of providing a New Year energy overview, since to collapse a cycle into a theme or ‘nutshell’ is something that is favoured in many spiritual circles. To provide an ‘all purpose, one size fits all’ definition is not something that I would normally encourage as you know. Therefore, I would like to qualify first off the purpose of naming and defining such cycles so that you may understand that, while valid, the inner most knowing from within yourself should still be your greatest influence and guide. So disciplines such as numerology and astrology should always be studied in the light of your own innate wisdom and from the perspective of your own desires and challenges rather than something set in stone.

Old habits die hard!

Indeed. The blueprint of your life does not necessary follow logical sequencing, but it does follow your own goals and aspirations, all of which are readily available for your observation should you choose to see clearly. Those people who are more experienced in navigating this physical realm will automatically align their individual growth aspirations with the emerging energy and cycles of the Earth mother. In other words, you are already aware of and aligned with the great and micro Earth cycles, so you all possess knowledge of the cyclic nature of the becoming into divinity. These cycles are indeed physically represented and manifested via various disciplines such as numerology. This is so that the fact that they even exist could be communicated to the ego that perhaps had not yet learned to look within. Does this make sense to you?

Yes

Now, while I concede the value and purpose of the reading of the stars or the perfection of mathematics to communicate such cycles, my greatest hope is that you sense them from within, and further that you trust those senses and act upon them. So I would like you to look upon any predictions for the forthcoming times as perhaps confirmation of your inner senses, your hopes and dreams, rather than the source of them if this makes sense to you.

Absolutely. I feel excited about this year. This feeling has emerged finally after an 'average' year last year and when I heard of the planetary cycle of 'the new beginning'.....well it was great confirmation to be in alignment at the very least.

Indeed. I mention these aspects so that you can treat my summary of the energy that encompasses 2008 in the same manner. That is, as confirmation that you are indeed aligned with Earth energy, but that working with the energy begins from within. You must work from the inside out in terms of any actions or indeed inaction you deem necessary.

The stars have heralded a new beginning, a cycle within a cycle where the potentials to create change are heightened due to the flow of energy willing such change. Yet new beginning is an incredibly generic term as far as the ego world is concerned, for it can herald the coming of a vast array of physical manifestations. Yet, physical probabilities aside for the moment, the year 2008 does indeed represent a new beginning at all levels of consciousness. As each of you deal with the impact the energy will have on your individual responses, en masse each will affect the collective consciousness. Humanity must now take real steps towards responsibility for consciousness. This year represents a very real cross roads for all incarnate here, and the nature of their own 'new beginning' will be determined by the choices they make.

Humanity has gone far in manifesting the outcomes of lack of responsibility for consciousness - as far as it can really and still survive with the current status quo in place. Collectively, the world community is a manifestation of contraction, or in the spiritual sense an expression of polarity. In the manifestation of such extremes is the potential to teach you about balance and, further, how to achieve it. The balance at this time is delicate, it eddies and wanes, but it must move and be fluid – the direction, in the higher schemes is not as relevant as the need to choose, if this makes sense to you.

Yes

Within this global crossroads, countless individual crossroads exist that all equally contribute to the way in which the phase will manifest. It is only from this micro, personal level that you need concern yourself in this year ahead. You are not charged with the mission to save the world, you are charged with the mission to ensure your own does not need saving.

I tell you this because you could easily be distracted by global events, be swept away in them or worse feel as though you are merely a victim as opposed to a co-creator. You must remember to live your life from the inside out, to know your journey is one into the self. So to this end, the energy of the year involves transcendence. Take a moment to ponder what this means to you.

Being truly in feeling...rising above the ego realm in some way....not being so allured by it is perhaps is a better way of explaining it.

Yes, essentially you are correct, but as always I will expand. The physical world is a beautiful and unique expression of consciousness. All that you experience, from the grand cycles, to these smaller ones, are all still an expression of consciousness. Nothing is set in stone, predetermined or can be foretold with physical accuracy. Only in understanding energy can you truly work with this phase. To be drawn into physical predictions is limiting and unnecessary. The energy that will couch your personal and collective growth this year is urging you to seek oneness, responsibility for your responses and a greater intimacy with your own innate wisdom. Any physical drama or joy you encounter has the potential to open you to more of yourself.

You are incarnate as a physical being in this time space because it aligns with your own goals in relation to your spiritual growth and expansion. In other words, you with others have co-created this cycle since you add to the expression and magnification of the inherent Earth energy and affect it in return. The energy of Earth cycles does not coerce you to change, or attempt to oppose a will outside of yourself. Instead it adds impetus to your journey in achieving your own goals that you set long before breathing your first breath here. You must learn to view spirituality and even the grandest of Earth cycles (no matter how they may manifest) as part of you and your inner creativity, as opposed to something that is thrust upon you. Even though you ‘know’ intellectually that you create your own reality, every time you feel overwhelmed, victimised by circumstances or disempowered, you are coming face to face with the true inner feeling aspect of self that does not truly believe in true self sovereignty. You are therefore given a window into what is really happening in your spiritual world and an opportunity to work through such contrasting beliefs if this makes sense to you.

You are NOT here to learn the hard lessons unless you deem that as your preferred option. You determine your learning via the choices you make in daily crossroads events that do indeed dominate your life. This current cycle is an opportunity to create with the hand of conscious creation, rather than blindly. It will suit many of you who have been consciously working with crossroads for some time now. You have been well prepared, but you must continue with your diligence. They key word to assist you with your diligence will be transcendence.

Now, on a personal, but especially a global scale, to transcend the drama that is currently being fanned will not be without significant challenge. This challenge though, lies not with overcoming it, but instead in you maintaining a disciplined approach in terms of always working with any manifestation from the perspective of your feeling response to it. YOU alone must transcend the drama, rather than wait for it to occur en masse and then join in. Transcendence must be done in the moment, in real time and not as an abstract meditation or intellectual pursuit. Your true creative power lies in your feeling response to any given stimuli – no matter whether that response be seemingly ‘negative’ or ‘positive’ in terms of usual spiritual rules, The real key is to allow it, to learn from it and to cease to overlay it with the apparent ‘right’ response. All you are required to do, and all you actually can do, is allow the counsel of your Soul to emerge, which always manifests via the feeling body.

There is no quick fix to what is occurring on the planet at this time. There can be no spiritual guide who can seriously tell you that all will be fine and good will prevail. The energy plays out no matter what and cannot be contained. Earth cycles cannot be contained; the cycles of the collective humanity cannot be contained, nor too can the cycles of your own journey. All such cycles can be denied however, as your free will is unassailable. Yet in this denial the polarity erupts, for the energy can never be eradicated or made futile, no matter how frequently you deny or minimilise its physical manifestations.

Individually you need only know that there are a myriad, countless probabilities that already exist for the 'future' times in which you will dwell. Knowledge of such and interaction with them can only be accessed from within. From within, you will know that there is no doom and gloom in which you MUST participate - only from within are you truly free to choose though. By this I mean that you must transcend the physical manifestation, not the physical plane.

To transcend for example a miraculous mountain range would be to link in with it at a feeling level. To understand that it’s physical majesty IS INDEED a true and clear manifestation of its inner energetic majesty. In this level of transcendence, one could learn of the very seeding of the planet and potentially commune (in feeling) with the highest beings who first thought of this time space intersection, which gave rise to this planet. To glimpse and bask in the energy that is the source of something so brilliantly manifested without.

Conversely, let’s perhaps look at transcending an aspect shrouded in fear, say climate change. First one needs to certainly rise above the ego drama around it, the hype, and the claims about the ‘inevitable’ outcomes for the planet. Yet all such rationalisation is still done at a surface level, to placate the ego’s very real fears around this enormous issue. To transcend it, one must be open to take it in, breathe it in, and then out. Taste, sense and feel exactly what is manifesting here and accept that you are a co-creator, both physically and spiritually and from here you can begin to open as to what it is meant to show you about yourself.

For instance, it may take you to a place of fear, guilt, despair, hopelessness, apathy or indeed denial. Where it takes you is where you already are you see. It is showing you something about the way in which you live your life and the choices you make. The Earth is indeed damaged, make no mistake. But only the surface manifestations are affected. Her inner self, her soul stuff, as manifested in the oceans, mountains and deserts are all ok.

She is co-creating your fears, but she will prevail. The surface manifestations have always been your own; the weather particularly is an expression of your collective emotional state, so that does not affect her nearly as much as it affects you and the animals that take this Earth walk with you. What you are doing you are doing to yourself, make no mistake. Climate change represents an expression of your own societal destruction because you know inherently that present values cannot continue. It is more a safety net than a punishment, even though its effects may look incredibly destructive. You cannot harm the consciousness of one blade of grass. You can only harm yourself, and even then only in illusion via the creations you manifest there.

I mention transcendence as a focus now because sometimes when we attempt to rise above the physical, we can make the mistake of actually denying not only the ego perspective, but more importantly, the Soul message that gave rise to the physical event in the first place. Denial is fraught with danger, since energy cannot be contained, it will keep manifesting with greater vehemence, via the physical, until you deny it no more.

Transcendence is about truly lifting the physical veils and experiencing the essence of any situation. Experience is the key word. You must experience the feelings that are masked by the physical veils. Climate change is clearly a fantastic opportunity for the world to reconsider its values and beliefs that have motivated collective actions to date. The only way to alter climate change is to experience and transcend the source of this apparent chaos. The source lies within each of you individually, which is then grouped collectively. You will indeed see altered climate affects that appear haphazard and random, when actually they are reflections of the collective of any given global area.

For the next few weeks you are to meditate on the concept of transcendence, what it means to you, and where it can have an affect on your life. The energy of the time supports new growth and expansion. Use transcendence to begin to play with manifesting your hearts desire. To transcend the physical is to learn more of the essence of your life so you can see truly what it is that you seek.
